Wow, the excitement around the Socialius office is amazing.
Mainly because we’ve gotten ourselves over a super-duper huge hurtle/blocker that was stopping progress. As you may or may not recall, Socialius has been created by a single man (with friends suggestions, willpower boosts and level-ups along the way). A man that has also been looking after his lovely daughter, working a full-time job saving a fortune company millions via innovation, automation and creating assets.
So, yeh, after working on an algorithm to solidly take care of our user’s extremely important data for over 4 days I’m completely stoked that it’s finally done and works 110% as I wanted it to.
I’ve watched several several videos, read tons of articles and they both appear to resonate that the launch of your startup isn’t that big of a deal. I still have an extremely hard time with that aspect as I don’t want things to:
- Break along the way in our growth
- Nor will I allow things not to scale easily
Without giving away our secret formula here, I have spent thousands of hours implementing (and fixing) code that will ensure both of the above are dealt with properly.
Awesome folks like Mark Zuckerberg tend to agree with this discipline of ensuring things don’t break. While, of course, breaking things along the way… which is another one of his mottos.
We’ve got maybe another 1-2 ‘majors’ that need to be addressed, but other than that we’re positioned to launch within the next week.
I know, I know, we’ve taken forever. But good things do take time… and some others only get better with time!
